Rivercity Technology Services Ltd. continues to provide IT services normally as of March 16th.
Our company can fully operate remotely per our emergency support plan, ensuring the ongoing IT support of our clients. At this time we are continuing delivery of on-site support, subject to any new developments as announced by federal or provincial authorities. Our staff has not traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days and is currently minimizing all social interactions. Given a worst-case scenario, we will implement our fully remote support plan. Note: given the remote work environment may include all family members as well, help desk callers may experience background noises including children playing, dogs barking, various kitchen sounds, reruns of Seinfeld, or other such factors found in the typical family house (I say this with a smile). I apologize in advance for this.
Please note, on-site support will not be available for any employee who has traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days. Remote support is available to those individuals who fall under this category.
Due to the economic impact of this global event on our clients, many of whom are small businesses, we have immediately reduced our rates by 25% to help offset your IT costs and migrate employees to tools suited for work from home. Our fair use policy in our Managed Service Agreement now includes unlimited free help desk for support, including new changes moving employees to work from home IT tools. If you require emergency IT support for your small business and are not a client, please reach out to us and we will help you remotely if we can, without a contract in place.
